Accept bank payments with a provider that fits your business.
Cybin helps businesses review ACH and eCheck options, understand the account terms, and prepare the application. Tell us what you sell, how customers pay, and your current volume so we can assess suitable providers in our network.
Free review. No commitment. No documents required to start.
What is ACH payment processing?
ACH processing moves payments between U.S. bank accounts through the Automated Clearing House network. An eCheck often refers to an electronic payment collected through ACH. Providers can use the eCheck label differently, so Cybin helps you confirm the actual payment method, authorization process, and account terms before you choose a service.
Business invoices and larger payments
Review how customers will authorize invoice payments, your typical and largest transaction, and the provider's limits. Compare the complete fee schedule against the way your customers actually pay.
Recurring customer payments
Explain the billing schedule, how customers consent, and how they cancel. Your provider should explain the records, account checks, and return handling your setup requires.
High-risk and hard-to-place businesses
We review your actual products, sales model, and processing history. ACH has its own underwriting and risk controls; a card-processing decline does not establish eligibility for bank payments.
Compare the terms that affect your cash flow
- Payment method
- Confirm whether the offer uses ACH or another check service, who provides it, and which business models it supports.
- Total account cost
- Ask about transaction, monthly, verification, return, dispute, gateway, and cancellation fees. A quoted transaction rate is only part of the cost.
- Funding and reserves
- Separate network settlement timing from when your provider makes funds available. Review holds, reserves, bank cutoffs, and any initial funding delay.
- Authorization and fraud controls
- Confirm the authorization evidence, account validation, access controls, and transaction monitoring required for your payment flow.
- Returns and reconciliation
- Understand how failed or returned payments appear, who follows up, what retry rules apply, and how you reconcile them with invoices.
- Customer experience
- Check the available payment links, invoicing tools, recurring billing, or integration against your actual workflow. Availability varies by provider.
Start with your business details
The initial application does not require documents. These details help Cybin understand the options worth reviewing; the provider may request supporting records later.
- Your website, products or services, and whether customers are consumers, businesses, or both.
- Current monthly processing volume, typical transaction size, largest transaction, and expected growth.
- How you collect payment permission, deliver the order, issue refunds, and handle customer questions.
- Current provider details and any processing statements or return history the underwriter later requests.
Questions before you apply
Are ACH and eCheck the same thing?
eCheck is often used to describe an ACH payment, but the label alone does not identify every provider's service. Ask which network or check method the payment uses and which authorization, return, and funding terms apply.
Can a high-risk business accept ACH payments?
Potentially. Acceptance depends on the actual business, products, customer base, payment flow, history, and provider policy. Cybin reviews the file and identifies relevant options; the provider makes the approval decision.
Are ACH payments guaranteed or irreversible?
No. Payments can fail or be returned, and available funds do not remove every later return risk. The applicable rules and deadlines depend on the transaction and circumstances. Your provider should explain how its service handles those risks.
How quickly will I receive the money?
Funding depends on your approved account terms, processing schedule, bank cutoffs, and any holds or reserves. Same-day network processing does not by itself guarantee same-day access to merchant funds.
What changed for ACH in 2026?
Nacha expanded fraud-monitoring requirements in 2026. Ask your provider how the rules apply to your business's role and payment flow, what controls you must maintain, and who handles each part. The official rule references below provide the current detail.
Does Cybin charge for the initial review?
Cybin's consultation, application help, and placement service are free to the merchant. Cybin is paid by the processor after successful onboarding. Processing and other account fees are governed by the provider's agreement.
