Questions, answered

Is this review right for my business?

This review is designed for established businesses already processing $500K or more per month, including businesses processing $1M+. Use your average actual processing volume over the last three months, not projected sales. Tell us how much volume you want to move and whether you need a replacement or an additional processor.

Can I keep my current processor while I compare options?

You can request a review while your current account is in place. Cybin helps you compare the available options and understand setup requirements before you decide. Any additional account, routing arrangement, or transition depends on provider approval, your agreements, and technical compatibility.

What's a “direct MID,” and why does it matter at scale?

A direct MID is a merchant ID issued to your business by an acquiring bank after underwriting, rather than an aggregated sub-account. It can provide clearer ownership and terms, but it remains subject to the processor’s risk monitoring, agreement, and reserve policies.

Can you actually lower my reserve?

We can present your processing history and chargeback performance and request reserve terms that reflect the file. The acquiring bank decides whether a reserve is required, the percentage, duration, release terms, and any later changes.

How does multi-acquirer redundancy work?

Where multiple acquiring relationships separately approve the merchant and the gateway supports compliant routing, volume can be distributed across more than one path. Availability depends on underwriting, contracts, card-network rules, and technical compatibility.

What does Cybin charge, and what processing rates should I expect?

Cybin does not charge you for the consultation, application intake, or processor matching. Cybin's business review is free. Processor pricing is confirmed in the written terms. We help compare the effective rate, per-transaction fees, monthly and gateway fees, chargeback fees, reserve, contract term, and cancellation costs. Reserves affect available cash and are reviewed separately from fees.

How long does underwriting take?

Timing depends on the processor or acquiring bank, your documents, products, website, processing history, and follow-up questions. Cybin keeps you updated, but does not promise an approval date.

Can multiple accounts eliminate processor risk?

A suitable payment setup can improve continuity. We can assess direct merchant accounts and additional processors that may accept your business. Each provider must approve the account; no setup removes all processor risk.
